Sustainable Exhibition

The Problem/Project

Working in teams, create an exhibit that tells the story of six of the key values embedded in indigenous cultures that can teach us how to live more sustainably. Include exhibit panels, catalogue, promotional materials, and one object-based interactive display.

Solution

We decided to make a mock up of an exhibition that includes an interactive activity where guests can gather seeds and take them home to plant. Our main goal was to inspire sustainable practices and create an all sustainable display. We chose to follow the aesthetic of Swiss design for all of our posters, which gave us a consistent look.

Using Photoshop, Indesign and Adobe Firefly, we were able to split up the work and bring our pieces together into one exhibit mock up. I created multiple posters and social media posts that highlighted sustainable practices. We used Firefly’s AI to generate a room that we could use as the mock up. We then brought all of our posters and brought everything together.

I was in charge of creating promotional social media posts. I used imagery from photographer Edward Curtis and added information about the fake event, all while keeping the layout consistent with our groups’ visual style.
